Moon in Aquarius may cause conflict
The moon moved into Aquarius on the New Moon January 23rd and you may find more conflict in your life during this time. It is a good idea to add a few things to your alter, or goddess space, that can help avoid, or at least help with, any current conflicts.
BLACK is the color for banishing negative energy. Add a black candle to your goddess space and burn it before bedtime or anytime in the evening when the moon is out. Close your eyes and visualize your conflict being resolved.
EUCALYPTUS is also good for getting rid of negative energy. Add some eucalyptus leaves or oil to your alter. Slowly breathe in the invigorating fragrance and close your eyes. Visualize your conflict and how you would like it to be resolved.
YELLOW ROSES help to bring about new beginnings and represents joy and happiness in friendship. Add some yellow roses to your goddess space if this is where your conflict lies.
And don't forget LAVENDER. This wonderfully fragrant herb is used to ease stress. During any conflict or stressful time, lavender aromatherapy is the perfect cure. Use some lavender essential oil in your bath before bedtime, or pick fresh lavender flowers and keep them in a small bowl or vase next to your bed, on your desk, or on your alter. Crush the leaves and flowers gently to revive the scent when needed.

- I grew up on the beach in Malibu, California and began traveling to Europe at a young age. Although my heart belongs to the sea and life at the beach, I loved the history and old-world feeling of Paris and London compared to my sunshine filled beach life at home. I often found myself searching through antique stores and vintage shops during my travels in Europe. Dusty leather bound books, prints, vintage handbags, and old apothecary bottles were my favorite things to collect. After attending colleges in California, Hawaii and England I graduated with a degree in illustration and I planned to become a children's book illustrator, but then I took a course on bookmaking and letterpress at Otis College of Design in Los Angeles and I began making my own books. As my handmade book collection grew I decided I really wanted to recreate more of the beautiful antique books and other things I remember finding in the little shops in Europe and that's when WANDERING MERMAID was born. I like to think of my ETSY shop as the mysterious little vintage shop you find down a hidden alleyway . You never know what you will find ❤
